为什么同样T台走秀，女模特酬劳要远高于男模呢？-沪江商务英语

从全球来看，在大部分行业中清辉阁，男人收入要普遍高于女性。
但有一个行业除外，那就是模特界。
根据《福布斯》财经杂志的数据76号魔窟，男模的收入与女模相比，绝对是小巫见大巫。
According to a new ranking from Forbes magazine,male modelsare still making a fraction in annual salary when compared to theirfemale counterparts.
根据《福布斯》的统计，2013-2014 间，当时排名首位的巴西超模吉赛尔·邦辰（Gisele Bundchen）一年收入为4700万美元，而排名首位的男模Sean O’Pry 才150万美元。

全球当红男模，肖恩·奥普瑞（Sean O'Pry）是多个国际顶级大牌的 “当家衣服架担当” 。
曾为范思哲（Versace）、H&M、Hugo Boss 和乔治·阿玛尼（Giorgio Armani）走过秀。
凭借文艺复兴雕像般深凿的眉宇、颧骨别嘌呤醇片，以及性感的完美唇型历史乱套了 ，让Fashion界惊为天人，并蹿升为全球最贵的男模。

即便如此瑞贝卡·张，他的年收入连邦辰的4% 都不到。
《福布斯》还曾经做过一个统计，发表了薪资Top 10 的模特榜单。
从这份榜单中更能看出男女模特收入差距鸿沟。

甚至连排名第十的女模特Natalia Vodianova的收入也完全秒杀最贵男模了。
据模特业业内人士说：
A woman could be paid up to ￡40,000 for walking in a top show.A male model would only get ￡10,000 on average.
同样走一场顶级时装秀，女模特大概能拿到4万英镑，而男模特只能拿到1万英镑。
模特界可能是唯一的行业，女性不会遭遇“玻璃天花板”效应赖曾裕童 。反倒是男模不被重视笑傲之华山 。
Modeling, it seems, is the one field where the ‘glass ceiling’ experience women face is flipped, and men struggle to be taken seriously.
就连收入排名第二的男模大卫·甘迪(David Gandy) 对此也深有体会，觉得要想成为顶级模特，一定要非常吃苦才能。

甘迪说最开始当男模的时候很艰难。人们总希望男模要非常非常瘦（ultra-thin），而且要有点女性气质（feminine）狗徒。
"I came into the industry with theDiorguy -- very androgynous罗卡定律 , skinny guys were the moneymakers in the industry," he told.
我最初进入这个行当是给Dior走秀的，当时的主流思想是只有偏向女性的中性风、非常瘦的模特才是摇钱树绝代天狐 。
"I didn't follow the crowd. I didn't follow the trends. I bucked the trends. Everyone was saying, 'You need to be skinny, you need to be skinny.' Your legs need to be thinner."
但我没有跟随一般大众，我也没有跟着这股潮流，我很不赞成这种趋势。所以每个人都对我说：你要再瘦点，你的腿还不够细。
而且，如前男模 Aaron Johnson 所说：
Anytime I would try to talk about my ideas or ambitions … I was treated with a proverbial pat on the head and a patronizing smirk.There’s such a huge stereotype of male models being brainless.
每次我跟人谈想法和抱负的时候，别人就好像对待宠物那样，胡中惠 拍拍我；或者以高人一等的假笑来应对。在这个行业，男模特被贴上了无脑的标签璃妃传 。
那么，大家可能会问了：
为什么都是年轻美好的肉体，男模特却比女模特赚得钱少很多推手网 ？
为什么女模特更受优待呢豆柴？
其实，原因非常简单。
The disparity comes from the general idea that women buy twice as much as men do.
这种巨大差异在于女人买服装、时尚品的量大概是男人二倍。
The men's clothing industry rakes in roughly $400 billion worldwide七绝圣手是谁, but the women's clothing industry worldwide is worth about $621 billion.
从全球来看，男性服装市场大概值4000亿美元，而女性服装业值6210亿美元。
The brands and the fashion magazines are more interested in a women's aesthetic assets我的丑娘 , which help to sell product better and as a result that pushes up the value of female models.
所以各品牌商、时尚杂志都更愿意在女性审美上砸钱，这样能推高产品价格，也间接推高了女模的价值。
没错，这就是市场经济下，需求决定价值的典型案例。
因为女性在服装、时尚品上更有兴趣，更愿意砸钱，所以品牌商就不惜血本来打造完美形象，来吸引女性消费者。
于是乎，身材一级棒、脸蛋精致，代表完美形象的女模特就自然成了商家、赞助商的宠儿，酬薪就必然水涨船高了。
